In nearly every culture, the ocean is bound to mythology, to spirit, and to the threshold between this world and the world beyond, ancestors dwelling beyond the horizon. The sea holds a kind of collective memory.

Memory of Another World stages that border. A translucent membrane stands in the sea; behind it, a figure appears only as shadow rendered over the ocean itself. The screen is the veil between worlds; the figure inhabits that in-between space, neither fully here nor fully elsewhere. The departed and the not-yet-recognized share a single form here: a silhouette that will not resolve.
